I build from the audience backward.

The Chicago Audible

2015—2022

The place Bears fans went after the game.

I started The Chicago Audible while still in college because I could not find the live postgame show I wanted as a fan. Bears coverage had plenty of opinions. What felt missing was a place where lifelong fans could bring all the emotion of game day without sacrificing preparation or analysis. For listeners outside Chicago especially, the show became somewhere to gather after every game.

Producing it meant far more than turning on a microphone. I researched and hosted live, one-take shows, built the website, learned SEO and distribution, grew the social audience organically, worked with advertisers, formed media partnerships, and stayed close to listeners.

The clearest evidence of trust happened beyond a dashboard. Fans came to our live show at The Man Cave convention in 2018. Later that year, listeners from around the world joined us in Miami for a Bears game. When the Chicago Bears credentialed us in 2021, a fan-built show became an official part of the media covering the team.

ALLCITY acquired The Chicago Audible in 2022, turning a college side project into my full-time work and opening the next chapter of my career. Running the whole operation taught me to see audience, product, distribution, revenue, and operations as connected parts of the same experience.

We never treated listeners like a number. That is how an audience became a community.

A working belief

A signal is only useful if it changes the next decision.

The hard part is carrying context all the way to action.

Most teams have enough data and ideas. What gets lost is the connection between what people are telling you, what matters now, who owns the next move, and what the result teaches you. I work on that chain.

The work

Four lenses.
One connected view.

01

Earn

Audience

Trust is built one return visit at a time.

Direct audience work taught me to distinguish what people say from what they repeatedly choose. That gap is where the useful signal lives.

02

Diagnose

Growth

Find the constraint, not the loudest metric.

I follow the full journey from first attention through repeated value to see where the experience and the economics stop reinforcing each other.

03

Decide

Product

Turn evidence into a smaller set of bets.

Strong priorities balance customer need, business value, and delivery reality. I make those tradeoffs explicit, then keep the learning attached to the build.

04

Enable

Operations

Make good judgment easier to repeat.

Teams move faster when context travels, ownership is visible, and decisions do not have to be rediscovered. The goal is not more process. It is less avoidable friction.

Operating principles

A few rules I trust.

  1. 01

Trust has to be earned again every time.

  2. 02

Solve the constraint, not the symptom.

  3. 03

Make the tradeoff and the owner visible.

  4. 04

Build so the learning survives the launch.

William DeWitt

I do my best work where the problem stops belonging to one function.

Colleagues usually bring me in when the problem is messy: the symptoms are visible, but the cause sits somewhere between the product, workflow, data, and people around it. I enjoy understanding how those pieces affect one another, finding what is actually creating friction, and leaving behind more than a one-time fix.

My résumé begins in marketing. My work does not end there. Following growth problems to their source pulled me into product, engineering, analytics, operations, AI, and user behavior. I do not treat them as separate lanes. I look for how a choice in one reshapes the work in another.

I cannot resist a system that makes smart people work harder than they should.

I am at my best when what we build keeps creating value after the immediate problem is solved: a clearer workflow, a more useful product, a repeatable decision, or a team that spends less time chasing information. Curiosity gets me into the problem. Persistence and collaboration carry it through.

Becoming a husband and father lengthened the time horizon I optimize for. I care more about durability, sustainable pace, and whether the people who inherit something can continue improving it.
